Brake issues 92 Legacy

Featured Replies

Hello all,

My sons Legacy wagon.  We put on new rotors and pads on all corners, bled em out.   Can't get good pedal and the ABS light comes on.  We bled them clean.  The rears are rubbing and as an old school muscle car guy Im a bit puzzled?  Maybe the master has an internal leak?  Ideas?

Thanks

if it is a manual trans and has the hill holder, you need to push the clutch in when bleeding right rear and left front.

I just pin my clutch to the floor and do a 4 corners.    I use a vacuum bleeder at the wheel.

Its an auto.  Thanks tho.

I don't know if this fits your situation, but whenever I've had those symptoms, I had to benchbleed the master cylinder.

Yeah, I am thinking time for a new one.  Just bled em again, no help.

Thanks

I have had to deal with failed master cylinders in 90's subarus seems like in a row with 2 of them and a spare installed as a replacement being failed as well. Practice dual diagonal brake bleed. Good luck
