hunkefunk
You guys responded to a post of mine about installing a 95 Legacy starter in my 89 GL Turbo (AT). I installed it, and it would not engage the flywheel. I then got the idea to install it with two very thin washers with the thought that it my give the starter "more room" to "catch" the flywheel. This worked, or so it seemed. Tonight after dinner it took about 20 attempts to get the car past a single click. And once back home, it started immediately, but then took 5-10 attempts sometimes to get the car started. Does this confirm some suspicions that the flywheel may be the issue! What would your next step be? Thanks for your thoughts!
