Hi,

 

The first car I owned was an 83 GL 4WD Wagon (manual Hi-Lo); she was, hands down, the best girlfriend I ever had; the insurance company totaled her back in 1996.  At the time, I could afford car payments but, I couldn't afford car rental and $5600.00 +/- in repairs so, I let them have her.

Well, I'm in a position to maybe pick up an automatic with on 75000 miles but, it's a salvage title; based on the pictures, I'm no too worried about the title but, I don't know the transmission.  I can take the manual apart in my sleep (still) but the automatic has got to be pretty different.

Anyway, I haven't seen it yet and the point may be moot; I'm trying to get my niece to go see it and photograph the hell out of it before I decide to get on a plane and have a date.

 

 

I whined so much about the car I replaced her with, my wife finally told me to STFU and go buy an Outback, so, I did.

 

Yeah, she's heavier but, more to love..

 

Correction; I can't take the manual transmission apart in my sleep; I could and did work on just about everythng else thanks to Larry Owens.

I've got the same outback only black, it's my wife and kids ride though which is fine by me as my EJ'd loyale is more fun.
