Does a failing MAF sensor throw a cel ? I'm not getting a cel and it's acting just like there's water in the fuel? I replaced the fuel pump last week and I thought that cured the problem because it ran fine for a couple days but now it's doing it again. Daily driver.

Not always.

MAF failures for the 95-96 years are becoming more common.

If you're adventurous you can pop the cap off the sensor housing and try resoldering the joints where the pins from the connector join the pins coming off the PCB.

Pop the cap off the housing?

Cut the silicone out and pry the lid up. It has a funny edge on it that makes it tricky to pop up. It's easier if you get as much of the silicone out as you can.

O.K. I didn't see a seam for the lid at first glance. Broken solder points at the pins were the problem. Thanks.

sounds like something I'm going to get at the junkyard and sell on ebay! just a solder away!
