The size difference between the 1st-gen & 6th-gen Legacies

Featured Replies

Call me crazy, but I'd take the 1st gen any day.

This is the same trend with almost every car maker.

Look at a first gen Honda Accord, compared to one from the early 90's, compared to a new 2015.

Toyota Camry, same thing.

Nissan Maxima and Altima.

Ford Taurus

Chevy Malibu Though you can really only go back to early 2000's with that one. If you look at the original Malibu the new one is tiny in comparison.

Speaking of first gen legacy though. I keep seeing a 90-91 GT wagon around town that I wish I could save. Those first gens are so comfortable to drive! My GF bought an 06 forester a few months ago and its a hunk of plastic rattles and rides like a brick.

Took these over the summer, this was probably the first sixth gen I saw in the wild. Compared to my second gen the thing's a bus!

I remember reading somewhere that the Impreza/Crosstrek has demensions nearly identical to second gen legacies/outbacks respectively. Interior space, wheelbase, ride hieght, etc. Its funny to see that "compact" isnt so compact anymore. Its a shame, due to the fact that my father put his Avalon in a ditch last week, hes been looking at Subarus but since he already has a 5.7L Sequoia SUV, getting a bus of an outback or a minivan sized fozzy would be rather redundant.
