5 spd push button in Gen 2 wagon

Featured Replies

Hey hey.

anyone stick a 5 spd single range in a Gen 2 wagon before? It's out of a 90 loyale. I'm just looking for tips or what to expect. And yes I've tried searching I only find duel range stuff.

Thanks

Its the same as swapping in a dual range minus having to figure out the d/r linkage. You have to have the push button electrical/vacuum stuff too. If it's a wheeler just get a d/r if its just a on street go with the s/r.

I have the vac/electric stuff. It's a street car mostly. Does the ea81 console still work? I know the boots are different at least. Thanks

Yes after you modify the linkage to work. Which requires a welder and a metal cutting tool of your choice. I know jerry on here makes the linkage kits on here for the d/r. You would just take off the d/r linkage or send him yours.
