Greetings All. I have an issue with my '97 Impreza Outback when i'm trying to start it.

 

Here's how it goes... I turn the key and the engine cranks nicely. It sounds like it wants to go but it never does. I turn the key off. I turn the key and let it crank a time or two and it (usually) starts. Blue hasn't left me stranded yet and once she's fired up everything works great, but she hasn't always done this and it's mildly irritating and unpredictable. Thoughts?

Have you checked the fuel pressure, or compression?
