165000 miles. $3500 worth it? seem to run nice. What about the HG problems I hear about? I have another 03 with 195xxx miles on it runs amazing. What do y'all think? 

Depends on condition and maintenance its had.  HG usually are external oil or coolant leaks.  pretty easy to see.

If its in good shape, its a good price.
