I've seen all the bother some Brighton owners have gone through to add a tach to the Brighton panel, so I went to the JY and got a '95 Legacy panel complete, propose to just remove the Brighton guage cluster and replace with the Legacy cluster.

 

Seems pretty straightforward to me.  Any reason this wouldn't work?

 

FWIW, Legacy panel redlined at 6500, anybody know red line for EJ22?

You probably got an LSi panel.

 

Both my 96 and 95 have redline at 6.

Doesn't matter what the guage says, your ECU will hit the rev limiter when its ready.

Red line will be the same, cluster doesn't determine red line anyways this done though the ecu. Doing the swap should be fine as long as the connectors are the same between the clusters I just did the same on my inpreza brighton

If you want to keep your odometer reading the same, swap just the tachometer into the Brighton cluster.
