alxborg
With help from my son, we thought we had all marks lined up- when I turned the engine over there were no clunks but it clearly is out of wack. There is not a good illustration in my book to go by. I assume that if there were an internal collision it would make a noise- safe assumption? Any ideas to get this motor happy again would be greatly appreciated.
99obw
What manual are you using? Whether it be Haynes or the FSM it should all be there. Make sure the cam marks line up and the crank sprocket lines up with the mark on the oil pump. If you use an OEM belt the marks on the belt should line up with the cam and crank sprocket marks. theotherskip
also note that the timing mark on the crank sprocket is a line on one of the lobes in the back of the gear, and not the triangle in the center...
