I've got an 88GL that I'm in the process of replacing, I'm looking at newer used impreza's, i've found one with everything looking good, its in good shape and has everything i want. the only problem i see with it is one tire doesn't match the other 4 i've been under the impression that you never want to do this with AWDs it doesn't look like its been on there to long and i would replace all 4 if i buy it, could this have caused permant damage to the drive train. it seems to drive well i just don't want it to last forever like my old one. thanks all.

 

If anyone needs a Carfax run i've got that for another couple of weeks just let me know...

I would be suspicious, the previous owner obviously didn't know how to treat the AWD.

 

Maybe the same person has performed handbrake turns. Which is a surefire way to destroy the central diff.
