rear tail gate switch for interior lights 2001 outback

Featured Replies

my friend got rear ended and i helped him pull the mashed in corner back out the other day there was about an inch and a half gap along the drivers side where the gate did not seal before we started. we managed to bend it back far enough to get a new tail light in it and the gate to close and seal up but the interior light does not shut off all the time sometimes it will sometimes it wont it needs to be slammed shut hard to get the light to turn off. where is the tail gate door switch located? we couldn't find it.

we found the issue the gate was being pushed on the left side too much. we had the interior out of the back of it today and massaged the rear end a bit more got it a little straighter. from here his plan is to fiberglass over all the dents there and put some body filler over that.
