November 15, 201510 yr Family and I just got back from a trip, and the next day check engine light came on. I was working so couldn't look at it for two weeks. My wife limped it around until I could get the code read, and get parts. 100 miles on over half a tank of gas. Took Baja to AAmco they read code for free, and told me if I couldn't fix it bring it back and they would. I smiled and thanked them. P0030 was the code they gave me. Search button, Google button ect. 02 senser OK order parts fix next weekend. Called Subaru and sensor (upstream was gold(can't remember I think I passed out) and downstream was pure silver($210). Rockauto it is $102 and $60. code was for the air fuel upstream but I say replace them both if you can. I also notice I had a slight exhaust leak after the resonator. Fix went like this unplug both sensors be careful. wiggle em. Pull plastic shield There wasn't enough room to get the socket in without dropping exhaust anyway Unbolt the exhaust I used WD penetrating oil. exhaust bracket exhaust at heads drop exhaust use penetrating oil a few times to break them loose replace sensors remember to use anti seize on threads put them in the right locations notice the connectors I cleaned off the places that meet gaskets with sand paper I ordered new exhaust bolts because I usually break them reused old ones, the new were too long on the neck too short on the thread. Hang the exhaust on hanger then put head bolts then remaining exhaust all loose then tighten all bolts. I used zip ties to keep wire out of the way. Total time was about 2 hours and about $200 not including beer. I hope this will help someone with same problems, save $400 and get back on the road.
November 16, 201510 yr Those spring bolts you have to order from Subaru. I've been to every parts place around, and checked numerous online sources, none of them carry the correct bolt, and none of the local places could match the old bolt. Edited November 17, 201510 yr by Fairtax4me
