Recently put new front tires on my 86 Brat and noticed a distinct change in handling ~very sloppy. It seemed fine prior to that.

Initially thought of front end alignment issues. Took it to a shop & here's the real problem: severely worn rack and pinion bushings. Shop tech has been searching for the parts to no avail.& so have I for most of the morning.

Debating contacting suppliers in Australia for "Brumby" parts as a guy I met from Brisbane at a car show said that Brumby's are everywhere down there.

Ide reconfirm the diagnosis with my own eyes, if it truly only appeared after new tire mounting. Looks as tho the parts are still semi available. Power steering could require different parts.

Met a  Guy from Brisbane Australia at a car show.He said that Brumby's are still pretty easy to find there as well as parts.​

At present no distributor is carrying them (that I could find) Contacted ACDelco directly to see if they could help.
