Two pals bought Foresters, one is a 2002 the other is a 2003. What are the major maintenance must dos and el cheapo mods for relaibility improvement and longevity for these newer Subies.

watch out for the oxy sensors. My gf's 02 Forester had hers go bad twice.

Put some fender flares on it!

 

There are only 2 people in SLC with flares.

 

It makes your Forester stand out and look lifted! ($17 Ebay).

 

I also put a wood dash/trim kit in mine ($10 Ebay).
