I was wondering anyone is using mt2500 scanner with there obd1 ecu? I know its outdated but i was reading that it will work if you have the right cartridge and connector. Looking for reviews or experiences. There plenty for sake on ebay and prices seem resonable.

The brick scanner! My old boss had one. All it will do is read codes. It will not display live data on a Subaru, even with the cartridge.

 

You can do the same thing with two wires that are already in the car.

If you would like to be able to read live data, look into Free-SSM.
