Volltage problem now, 1988 Subaru GL

The first time I tested the ignition coil, it was 11.88 volts at both - and + terminals about 2 weeks ago with a slightly depleted battery.  This morning after charging up the new battery, the coil tests at 6.06 volts both - and + terminals.  What could be going on here?

Bad ground. Yeah.... bad ground..... definitely bad ground. lol Check the voltage at your battery. Then test the voltage from the positive coil circuit to the negative battery post and compare it. Then test the voltage from the negative coil circuit to the positive battery post and compare it. That should tell you which circuit is bad. It might not be the ground, I just felt like going all Rainman for some reason. lol
