Vegabond
Hi - My wife and I are looking into either the '16 Crosstrek or Outback. Here's the issue, we cannot find that the Crosstrek has an automatic lift gate open/close device while the Outback does. She's small in stature <unless she's mad at me> and cannot reach the opening to close the liftback on the Crosstrek- anyone have this issue as well and any possible solutions? Would shorter struts help - if at all possible? I've looked around this site and could not find a similar subject. I'd like to avoid another trip to the dealer at this point. Thank you in advance, Paul
MR_Loyale
A leather strap as a pull?
Vegabond
Good idea, I'd have the dealer install it as 'freebie'. Thanks for the input. BTW, I had a '85 GL which was the forerunner to the Loyale (traded in '90 for a '90 Legacy), This will be the 3rd Sube we'll own. ezapar
There is a handle built into the tail gate now. My wife is 5'3, she can reach it pretty easily.
