So I'm researching new wheels for my '83 GL and came across a set, however I'm unsure if they will fit. The size I'm looking at is 15x6.5 +38. I'm most concerned about the offset causing a rubbing issue. Does anyone have any experience with sizing up the wheels this much?

I don't have much, I just changed mine out on a 85 GL, I was surprised to see the Subaru wheels had 5.25" of inset, what is the +38 ?

What wheels did you find? From what I understand the only ones that are 15" and will fit are puegeot alloys and they will be fine for offset.

I failed to mention the size I changed over to, 15x8 6x5.5, the inset of the new wheels are about 4" the factory ones are about 5.25" so no rub from the 15x8. Cheers
