I accidentally posted this in the historic forum so here is the question again.

 

This question is about the carb on an 86 4wd Brat:

 

Do I need the spring that attached to the accel pump lever/shaft? If so how does it attach? I cannot seem to figure it out and most pictures I have seen seem to not have the spring anymore. If you have a pic it would really help me!

do you mean the spiral type spring that goes behind the screw in the top?

or the return spring that hooks on the side of the carb?

i will try to get a pic of one of mine so you can point and grunt....

The spiral type that goes behind the screw in the top. I cannot seem to get it in there right.

Okay here is a pic of the spring... the longer end hooks to the accelerator pump arm, and the shorter end hooks to the little tube you see there
