I have a 99 outback and the carpet is done. I was told that an impreza carpet kit will fit perfect. Can anyone verify that. I can order new impreza carpet but not outback for some reason.

It makes sense, since the STi seats bolt into the Baja, which mirrors the outback. I'm going to watch this topic since the carpet in my Baja needs replacement and isn't listed as available.

Legacy platform has about a 4" longer wheelbase than the Impreza.

Width is roughly the same, so might be close enough. I haven't heard of this, but it would be interesting to know if it works.

I guess I will just have to try it. I will post the outcome when I do it. Might be a week or 2, but I will let you know.
