2011 Legacy with sagging headliner

Featured Replies

The rear edge of the headliner has become unattached to the roof/window of the car.   It appears to have been secured with an adhesive that has lost it's grip.   I tried using 3M 30 pound double sided tape to re-secure it but gravity pulls it back off in minutes.

Does anyone what method or specific adhesive I need to use to get the headliner to stay in position?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

goodgravity,

3M makes a spray uphostery adheasive for this kind of job. You spray it on both surfaces, let it tack up, and then press both surfaces together. You'll get a much better job if you remove the headliner from the car, easily done if its a hatchback, because sedans have them installed before the rear windshield is installed.
