I didn't realize this, but I just wanted to give others a heads up.  I ordered a half shaft from Rock Auto for my GL10 and when I received it, it was for a Legacy.  The part is listed as fitting, but it's obviously wrong.

 

Rock Auto is not paying for the return shipping.  Yes, it was their vendor that messed up their interchange list.  But as a supplier I feel they have a duty to sell parts that fit regardless of where they get them from.

 

Anyway, I've never needed to return a part to Rock Auto but now I know (and you too) the risk taken when buying from them.

that's bad news - I'd expect it would be easy for RA to get the supplier to reimburse them for the return shipping.

 

Certainly YOU shouldn't be on the hook for it.

Yeah, thanks. Luckily I have a business shipping account, so the return shipping was only half of what Rock Auto charged me for shipping. I got off easy I guess.
