P0106 on engine swap

Featured Replies

I put a 93 2.2 in a 99 outback this week. I used an intake from a 96 2.2. Everything is done and it runs great, but it threw the p0106 code. The 99 had a map sensor sensor and only 1 tube running to the intake. The 96 intake had 2 tubes running to the map sensor.

As it sits I have put the map sensor from the 96 in to accommodate both tubes. Should I put the 99 map back in and plug off 1 of the tubes.

About 8 of these type of swaps and this is the first time I have ran into this. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Dp

Use the sensors that originally came with the car. Plug up any tubes that aren't needed and you should be fine.
