Where to find a local subaru mechanic?

Featured Replies

Where should I ask for help finding a good local skilled subaru mechanic (in the capital region of upstate NY / near Albany/Troy)?

Why? I need the headgaskets done and heads resurfaced, might as well do everything else that should be done at the same time, to keep the motor running for another 100k.

I know it is going to be expensive so I am looking for someone who will let me buy the parts and just charge straight labor (plus fair coverage for consumables, lubricants, etc).

I am willing to let a confident and experienced subaru tech or mechanic specializing in subarus do this work "on the side" as long as this person has the garage space, tools, desire and most importantly time to do it and have the car back to me in a few days or a week.

Please let me know where to ask or who to talk to about finding such a person.... thanks...

Pete

Welcome to the USMB, Pete,  What year/model/engine are you working on?

You need to post your request in the appropriate forum--probably "Newer Generation."

Good luck!

Wasn't sure if there was a specific thread for finding a mechanic.  Thanks, I will post that info/request in the Newer Generation thread.
