Hey guys. New to the forum, hope im postimg this correct. So i just bought a jdm forester stb sti. The car has been swapped from auto to manual, but is still running the auto ecu. My question is, what manual ecu can i find that will work with my car with little to no modification.

Try asking at NASIOC or one of the other Impreza or STI forums.

 

I don't think you need to change the ECU because the AT/MT identification is done by the wire harness, but Im not 100% sure of that on the JDM cars.

It should be a wire harness issue but im not sure. The stb STI was only available in a manual with the type M in 2001. All before that were all autos
