Hello All! 

I am hoping if you could help me with my 3rd generation Outback wagon; I recently had an accident and banged my tailgate which broke the glass as well. 

Since, here in Mexico, the Outback is not widely available the dealer told me they will take up to 5 months to ship a new one. (which sucks) 

I found a 2nd generation Legacy wagon on a junk yard and and I would like to know if I can fit that tailgate to my model.

What year is yours? Assuming the different generations/body styles, no. Interchange would be among the following groups

 

1990-94

 

1995-99

 

2000-04

 

2005-09

 

2010-present.

Mine is a 2001 and I found a 1999 tailgate. I assumed the 99 one would fit since both have the same width. 

Different body styles.

 

you'll need a 2000-2004 Outback or legacy.

 

Not sure what the shipping channels are from USA to Mexico but there would be plenty available via Car-part.com in San Diego, CA if there's a good way to get it down there to you.
