Im new here.

I drive a 1993 Loyale, 4WD, 5 speed manual, 4 cyl. For the last couple of months it has been very peculiar. When driving down the road it will start making a thumping sounds as well as feeling. The best way I can describe it is its as if Im driving with a flat tire, but it doesnt pull to either side. Im thinking it is something in the axle. Does anyone know what Im talking about? Anyone at all?

It comes and goes. It comes back for a few days after a hard rain or if Ive driven it faster than 50 mph. Then it will go away till the next time.

Have you added fix a flat prior to this happening? It will set your wheel off balance and once you gain speed it (The liquid in the tire) will start to spin inside the tire but not as fast causing it to become off balance. It will feel/sound like something is wrong with the tire.

It has nothing to do with the tires. Just acts like it has a flat. The tires are actually less than a month old. When it first started happening I thought it was the CV Joint, but the mechanic I brought it to said it wasnt and he couldnt figure out what it was. Needless to say, my car was the only one at his shop as I dont think he is very good. Im going to bring it to a shop tomorrow to see if they can figure it out.

It is definately something under the hood.
