my idle runs to high only sometimes other times it runs perfect it's an 1982 wagon and the only thing i can think of is the choke is sticking so how do i fix that?

Make sure the choke is getting power. Most 82's had Carter carberators and if you are not getting power to the choke and its a Carter carberator check the fuses and the coolant temp sensor on the intake manifold. Or the carberator screws are loose and need to be tightened from the bottom side of the carberator and the carberator needs to be removed for those screws to be tightened. hope that helps you out buddy.
