My 1987 XT FWD has a sputtering problem...Step on the gas ans she sputters..(a lot)...ease off the gas and she smooths out and runs fine. I disconnected the #1 injector wire and noticed that it had a lot of Green corrision on the terminals. I cleaned them and it runs somewhat better now.

 

I want a little more giddie-up to her, more than what it has now.

 

Should I upgrade the injectors? JcWhitney.com has 3 types listed for the car... 14#-17#. should I replace them or could it be another problem?

Have you replaced the fuel filter?

yuppers.... that was the first thing. then reset the timing, new plugs, wires, rotor cap and bug.
