Tensioner pully AC belt 98 Outback

Featured Replies

So,,,, Yeah  sounded like violent mice.....

I sprayed it with WD-40..... Calmed down some.....

What is the offering here......   In the past I have popped out the bearing and replaced bearings...

I don't about this with this pulley........    can anyone tell me?

ALSO....

AC currently is not working.............   It is 98 outback with a 2.2L

Do you guys rip these ac units out..........?????????????

what do you think?        is it a possible performance improvement???  fuel economy??  etc etc.

Thanks,Micky

Yeah it's a 6204 bearing. Like $8 at most parts stores. Knock the old one out and press the new one in.

AC not working can be a lot of things. Usually low charge. Generally easy to fix and worth it for the cool air more than the 2mpg change in fuel economy.

Don't recommend pulling out the A/C gear. Just minimal weight loss, and minimal increase in fuel millage is not worth the work involved. Better to work and time on the A/C system to get it working again.
