I am about to do the VC on a 02 wrx. It looks pretty straight forward, but are there any little odd things I may run into? Like any o rings or seals to change. Also for the housing coming off, should I use a new gasket, or is it like the tranny pan and use a good sealer?

Any advise would help.

I have just used the grey gasket sealer and not the parts house paper. 

Depending on yiur driving habits and how long you plan on driving it you might consider replacing the bearings in there while you are at it
