Hey guys, so i recently bought a 79 brat from a friend and got it running. By doing so, of course, i ran into some problems. Mainly i realized that that the front disk hubs that connect to the front half shafts are completely shaved down, So ill need to find some of those hubs. Also i tried going through the gears and when its in gear the stick wobbles around a lot, and also i can't get it to stay in neutral. Oh and the driver side half shaft doesn't turn https://speedtest.vet/ https://vidmate.bid/ .

So my questions are, can i find new disk hubs? and can i rebuild the tranny? or is it better to get a used one? Also finding a tranny seems difficult as well, i found a website that says they have one, but it'll cost around 500.

any advice is much appreciated.

I have at least a couple of those transmissions in CT

 

Hubs are going to be super hard to find - but maybe the next gen after also works ? 80-84
