In late 1982 the Rocky Mountain Subaru dealers came out with the 1983 Subaru black diamond edition. It was fully loaded. There were 100 cars made. I purchased the 83rd of 100 cars available from Fogel GMC/Subaru in Loveland, Co.. In February 1983, the Subaru dealer in Fort Collins called me and they had number one but they used it for a demo and it had 3000 miles on it so I passed. The last time I saw number one was in a junkyard in Greeley Colorado in 1994. 
 I drove this car 120,000 miles and sold in to my best friend who recommended I buy it. It has been restored and now has 375,000 miles on it. They were all black with a gray interior. This car was a snowmobile until the snowfall reached 7 inches.  He’s considering selling it and I thought I’d ask if anybody here have an idea of what he could get for it. It has been restored and rebuilt. The first picture is from 2018, the second pic is from 1986. Thanks for your help!

2018 Collector Car Price Guide (from editors of Old Cars Report) List the following:

1980-84 1600  GL station wagon, 4 x 4 

Condition #1 - $6500  Condition #2 - $4550.   Condition #3 - $2930.  No breakdowns for 1800 cc engine, auto or manual transmission, or dealer special edition packages.   

Their rating criteria - which believe is used by other automotive appraisers, insurers, etc, i.e. Hagerty's is as follows:

condition #1 - Excellent : Restored to current maximum professional standards of quality in every area, or perfect original with components operating and appearing as new.  A 95-plus point show vehicle that is NOT driven.

condition #2 - Fine: Well restored, or a combination of superior restoration and excellent original.  Also, an extremely well maintained original showing very minimal wear.  

condition #3 - Very Good: Completely operable original or "older restoration" showing wear.  Also, a good amateur restoration, all presentable and serviceable inside and out.  Plus, combinations of well-done restoration and good operable components or a partially restored vehicle with all parts necessary to complete and/or valuable NOS parts.   

For example, am hoping to "restore" my weathered '72 Chevelle to #3 standards.  Simply not possible or feasible to reach #2, and it could never be #1, due to use and wear, imho.   I would call your wagon, at first glance, a #2, do not know if mileage affects this.   Also am of belief there has been inflation of values in the last three years.

That’s pretty good only losing 40% value over all those years. It’s not factory but looks great for the age. The limited edition parts the kicker, they were high priced back then. Thanks for the info and feedback!
