I purchased an aftermarket alternator 3 pin clip with pigtail for my 2014 Impreza.  The aftermarket clip has a solid red, then green, then black wire, yet the original clip has a corresponding Black with white stripe, then White with red stripe in middle, then Black with red stripe.  As long as I line the original striped wires from the harness up in the same order/position as they were originally to the aftermarket solid colored wires of the new pigtail clip, should I be okay?  

In other words, does red wire (aftermarket) = Black with white stripe (original); green wire= White with red stripe; and black wire = Black with red stripe?  Thanks!

as long as the wires go to the appropriate places in the connector, they will be fine. color makes no difference, it is orientation that matters
