July 18, 200421 yr How is the driveline diff. in my Mom's new "03 GT Limited Sedan in automatic, and the drive line in my '98 L wagon EJ22, auto also?? I know her new Roo has a 55% power bias to the rear and it has a limited slip in the back. Is the center diff. in the tail cone of the AT like mine or is it seperate or is it in the gear lube in front diff??
July 30, 200421 yr Are you sure about the power transfer to the rear??? Never heard of that much to the rear in an auto. Your '98 L probably has 90/10 split (as I think the '03 GT does as well). L series w/o limited slip only send power front to back, where the limited slip in your mom's will go side to side as well. Have an '03 Special Edition Sedan myself. Love the car, but that is the big difference between your mom's car and mine...the limited slip.
August 1, 200421 yr Author But the brochure for the GT with auto says it has a totaly diff. power split like 50/50 for a more sporting driving experince?? August 2, 200421 yr That may be for the 5 speed...brochures aren't specific to one vehicle. I may be wrong, though (it's happened before!)
