Gas Door?

Featured Replies

On my 2001 Forester, I have Gas Door written on my dash with an arrow. I'm thinking it is suppose to light up if my gas door is open. Would kinda make sence? My gas door won't stay latched and my dash has never lit up and told me so! I guess I could go look through my owners manuel.....

Anyone know?

Or is everyone elses broke like mine:confused:

I think the arrow just tells you what side of the car you fill, I have seen this on other cars as well. My '97 OB has a little "gas pump" icon that lights up when it's down to about 2 gallons or so, that's probably the low fuel indicator on yours too. :) I don't think there's any indicator of the door being open, as I've driven away from the pump w/ mine open a couple of times by mistake, and no dash lights.

That little arrowhead is just to tell you what side the gas cap is on. Other makes do this too. No light.
