'07 Forester to '02 Outback front suspension?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone! I'm new here and from what I've read around on the forums, this seems to be a genuinely good community, so I joined up to pose a project question here.

I've got an '07 donor car and I'm wondering if I can swap the front lower control arms and sway bar onto my '02 Outback? Can I go whole-hog, as in wheel bearings and all? Has anyone here tried it out? I'm considering a lift later on, so the sway bar will likely be gone entirely at some point.

I've been working on Subarus for many, many years but this will be my first swap project, if it's possible. With just a quick look and rudimentary measure, it seems likely to me, but I haven't gone in depth yet, I'm still just in the idea phase.

If anyone has done something similar, would you mind sharing your experience with it? If anyone knows what I'm overlooking or likely to run into, advice would be wonderful.

Thanks in advance, and I'm looking forward to trying to be a small part of the community.

Hi, Not my area of knowledge, but if you look up the parts on a Subaru site like parts.subaru.com, you can cross-reference part #. or like Rockauto.  And Why are your swapping parts, rusty?

Good luck
