i have had many subarus some i sold 1 went to the junkyard one my girlfriend got in a accident with and it was totaled the rest still out there going its amazing! hope to have the 1997 soon when its done on the demo fleet although my friend has a 1993 legacy sedan for sale 155k only needs rear struts, but good condition. i like to know what kinds of subarus other people have so drop me a line let me know tell me about them

LosDiosDeVerde86, are you using any lift kit or spacers or any other mods to fit those wheels/tires to your car? I thought of replacing my 195/60/15 tires with 195/65/15 for softer rude and a smidgen more ground clearance. I know 95-99 Outbacks use 205/70/15 tires, but they have taller suspension.

you will have absolutely positively NO problem putting 65 on instead of 60. it's only a 5mm difference in sidewall buldge which is only 2.5mm on each side. actually by going 65, the tires may be cheaper.

 

i fit a set of 205/70R15 tires on my car at work and there didn't seem to be a problem with rubbing during steering or suspention travel.

 

even if there is, see, i have the luxury of working at a garage so i can put all four on, see if they work, then have the option to pay or go back to the stock size.

 

so, no. i'm not using any mods.

I just got my first Subaru: '95 Legacy Lsi wagon. It's got all the goodies and seems like a great car. I love the way it feels--good, solid handling. It's replacing a '99 Olds Alero that got totaled, which was a fun drive, but I think I'll enjoy the Subaru wagon much more. A few years ago I was driving a Honda Civic wagon with the Real Time 4WD system, which was cool because it had a 4WD low gear, just like a truck, so I actually took that thing off-road. Don't think I'll try any of that w/ my AWD Legacy though.

 

Everything on this car is stock. It was damaged when I bought it, so I've replaced some of the parts and painted them glacier white to match. I plan to shoot the whole car this fall, with a charcoal 2-tone at the bottom--like the Outbacks of those years had that arched over the wheel lip. I'm a cyclist, so I'm gonna add a little cycling logo at the back within the stripe of the 2-tone. Don't plan any engine mods. I will see if I can stuff bigger tires in the wheel wells.

 

After I finish fixing it up, I'll post some pics.
