where to get? EJ22 intake adaptor (to attach an cust. intake)

Featured Replies

I just got done making a custom intake snorkel for my EJ22, but the one piece I still need is a end-to-end rubber clamp deal that will attach my intake to the manifold... (the 2.25" opening?

I would assume that some of the guys who do cold air intakes would know where to get one?

thanks!!

(the duct tape is not very heat resistant!! and i need the real deal soon! )

Hit up home depot, they have a good number of different sizes of rubber connectors for attaching different sized pipes and stuff. Jes check out the plumbing area, typically around the ABS.

You puled this off without getting the Check Engine light. Nice! I keep hearing horor stories of people doing this mod with no luck.

Hope it works well for you.

well, i probably have the "check engine light" on , but i cant tell, cause I have no light! (the wires are there somewhere  )

tex helped me out.. we discovered that the wrx intercooler connector is exactly what i needed!

the ones at home depot and lowes are all 2 or 3" only! (intake is about 2.4" or something like that....)

thanks!

You had to maintain the MAF sensor attached to the stock airbox in your setup. If you removed it, you'd have far more than just a CEL. The car would run terribly, sputter, and most likely die, because it judges the A/F ratio mostly on readings from the MAF...
