Hi all,

 

so a buzzing, whining, whirling sound from the rear of the car would be the fuel pump moter correct? running slugishly and being slow to respond to acceleration would also be a symptom, correct?

 

next, do i replace tha moter only, or the whole pump? any advice on this procedure?

Fuel pump is a complete unit, there is now way to replace just the Motor. Pump is located in the tank, but shouldn't be hard to reach. There are access panels under the rear seat. I've attached a picture of what the pump looks like.

Also, the fuel access panels are in the trunk, not under the rear seat.
