I'm in the middle of a clutch job; I plan on taking the flywheel off and replacing the rear main seal while I'm at it. Dose anyone have the torque specs for the flywheel bolts. I don't want it to fly out going down the road but I don't want to torque it uneven enough to warp it either.

If no one has an answer by this evening, I can check the fsm's when I get home. I think it's around 60 ft-lbs.....but lemme check.

ummm i really don't know but that sound really too high... on my 79(they are so similar aren't they... ) i torque them down to 20 something... a jerkfaces guy in my auto shop torqued them down to 90 and they all broke...all 8...

58-62 ft-lbs is what the fsm says

grr, the transmission is hung up on one of the aligment pins. Look like I have to wait till tomarrow to finally drop it.

Don't you have a pry bar to stick in there.....that should get it unstuck.

I've got a nice 4ft pry bar, it just hasn't done the trick yet.
