as far as i understand subaru wheels fit subarus.. period. shouldn't matter what model.

well, the main issue is the brake clearance. 14-15" wheels wont fit on wrx brakes to the best of my knowledge. But since your current wheels are 16x6.5 and the wrx wheels are the same size they should fit fine

unless you have a oldschooler besides the XT6

2005 sti wheels wont fit either - bolt pattern change

 

but yes... 16" impreza rim will fit just fine on an Outback

Even if the WRX wheels are the same bolt pattern, isn't the offset on the WRX wheels greater than the offset on newer (2nd gen) Outbacks?

 

FWIW, I found this nifty chart a while back when I was verifying that WRX wheels would fit on my TS: http://wac.addr.com/auto/obs/wheels.html I don't think this addresses newer OB wheels, though.

 

Apparently 2nd gen OB's are 48 mm offset. That doesn't mean they won't fit, but they are not "the same"

Yep the new 05 Sti now has the SVX pattern, finally some nice wheels should be come available for the SVX in the right offset.
