using the vent line for return

Featured Replies

i stuck 1985 mpfi into my 85 carb wagon this weekend, i did it the same way i did on the hatch, except this time i noticed i have been using the vent line as the return. the vent is bigger for some reason, and works great. the stock carbureted return line is too small. just thought id let everybody know its easier than runing new lines =]

So, uhhh... what are you using for vapor return?

My only thought/concern about using the return line (other than vapor issue) is if it has the strength to hold up to pressure. I know it shouldn't experience anything significant, but if something gets pinched a burst return line might be .... hmmm ... embarassing?

its metal from the engine bay, back to the tank, then has a two 3 inch rubber sections. i replaced the old low pressure lines. just like i had to do to the pressure side. i run my gas cap vented, thought, it doesnt realy seem to make any difference.
