November 8, 200421 yr Hi, Just been quoted £250 ($460) for a replacement rear exhaust box (muffler) from Subaru UK. This has lasted since new (1998) on my 2.5 DOHC Legacy Wagon, which isn't bad !. Has anyone have any opinions on whether to go for this option or a cheaper make at a third of the price. I intend to retain this vehicle for at least the next few years.
November 8, 200421 yr The non-genuine parts will never last as long. Especially when we are talking about a Subaru exhaust. They are worth the extra dosh. 250 pounds is quite reasonable, compared to Danish prices. Make sure they fit a brand new gasket!
