Fuel pump Q's

Featured Replies

Are Facet/Purolater "clicker" pumps good or insufficient?

The $210 brat has some fuel starvation isues. The primary fuel filter has been replaced, and the underhood one will be replaced tomorrow.

All fuel/water was drained, a couple gallons of fresh fuel and a couple of bottles of isopropyl alcohol added (ISO HEET). I don't think water is an issue anymore.

Basically, when you get both barrels of the Hitachi open, she screams for a sec and then starts surging, and then it'll try to die until you let up.

Id take the whole fuel system apart and clean it religiously. Even the tank. SOunds like the tank may be rusty inside...or debris in it getting to the pumps or clogging filters up...
