I am new to this website and also a new owner of a Brat. I have installed AC from a GL wagon to an 86 Brat. I can get the system to function by a jumper at the relays but not from the dash controls. Could anyone out there tell me what I should look for? Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

The GL uses a micro switch integrated with the ventilation

control system to turn on the AC system.

 

How did you wire this control switch

Thanks Skip for getting back to me as this thing is driving me crazy. If I am looking in the correct place between the vent system and the evaporator at the mechanical linkage, there is a white plug with gr/w and blk/yel where the micro switch should be. When completing the circuit on these two wires, AC system cycles correctly.

 

I got this 86 Brat from the V.I. and it was AC ready. I found the AC componets in a Nevada junk yard. I thought I had all the parts but evidently I was missing the on & off switch. I will try Subaru to get the micro switch kit or do you have any other suggestions on where to find it. I live in SW Florida and there is not much here.
