99 Outback sport cat

Featured Replies

I've had a CEL on for a couple weeks and went into autozone to get the error codes pulled and they said it was a catalytic converter (bank a i think, the dude said it was probably the front one if there are 2 cats, which there are)

I priced a front cat for a 2.2 non-california emissions front cat at like $650 of the lancaster subaru website. Is there any other place i can get a cat without compromising my life savings? Im sure i can do it myself, i've done plenty of catback exhausts but if i had to pay for the part and the labor it would be a killer.

You might want to check if you still have warranty on this item. Some emission items have a warranty even longer than the 5/60 powertrain warranty.

Just a thought.
