Oil Pressure sending unit? Gauge?

Featured Replies

Put on new weber carb on my 82 GL Wagon 1.8, before the install my oil pressure was reading fine. Now oil pressure maxes out at the top of the gauge whether the sending unit is hooked up or not when the ignition is turned on. I am going to replace it with one from my donor motor and see if the OPSU (oil pressure sending unit) is the problem. If the OPSU was not hooked up shouldn't the gauge just read 0 like when the ign is off. So possibly this could be the gauge?

Fixed it. It was a bad OPSU. Must have grounded out.
