December 19, 200421 yr EA82= Over head camshaft, 2 valves per cylinder. 2 timing belts operating the cams. Hydrualic valve lash adjusters mean low maintiance if the oil is changed reguarly, cooling system is maintained, and timing belts serviced every 52,000 miles. 1.8L of displacement...offed with Carb, SPIF, MPFI and MPFI+TURBO. EA71=1.6 liter, overhead vavle, single cam with pushrod/rocker actuation. Trouble free and most reliable.
